I am Sima Bagherzadeh, a painter and art instructor with a focus on painting, printmaking (monoprint and monotype), and more recently, ceramic works inspired by nature.
My artistic practice centers on painting and printmaking, and I have participated in both solo and group exhibitions in Iran and internationally. Recently, I have extended my ideas into three-dimensional and ceramic forms.
My passion for painting began in childhood. Nature and plants have always been a source of peace, beauty, and inner discovery for me. Teaching children and observing their fresh and imaginative worlds has also been a source of inspiration.
The central themes of my work are life, the passage of time, growth, and the return to the self. In my art, I explore questions of presence and absence, birth and decay, and the coexistence of light and darkness. My inspiration comes from both nature and personal experience. For me, plants are not only aesthetically meaningful but also symbols of life, transformation, and the passage of time. They invite me to reflect on existence, temporality, and human experience.
