The formation of this idea goes back to my childhood—
a memory that shaped a new direction in my paintings.
At that time, whenever my father came home, he would bring a box of chocolates with him. The colorful and visually appealing boxes fascinated me deeply. More than the chocolates inside, I was drawn to the wrappers and the empty boxes themselves. I remember spending hours thinking about their shapes and colors, and I collected a large number of chocolate wrappers.
Each one had its own character and identity for me, and they played an important role in my childhood games.
Years passed, and with the arrival of the Tea Box, all of those memories resurfaced. I decided to revive them by painting them on canvas. For this representation, I also used collage techniques to bring the works closer to reality.
My empty chocolate boxes possess independent identities. Within their emptiness, each one tells a story of solitude, framed within a small space.
