Title: “I See Him”
I see him.
I see him within the frame of the mirror…
I see him sitting there.
I hear the sound of his soundless weeping.
I see his cheeks—transparent with tears—
in the glow of the room’s lightless lamps.
I see him:
wounded and voiceless,
silent and cold,
sitting there, waiting—
for a door to open,
for a gaze that might offer warmth,
for a hand rising
from the warm heart of the sea.
I see him…
